It is not typical in these days to have bands that do hard music and do not have male members. What was the reason to found an All-Girl-Metal band?

The name Hysterica came first and of course you must have that diagnostic to fit in this band. It had to be an all female band.

 

How were the reactions especially by the male Metal audience?

Both women and men think Hysterica is necessary in this world.

 

How did you get into Metal?

How can you not? Metal is the ultimate music form for express yourself. There are so many great bands and great music out there and we all have listened to metal since we where little girls.

Who are you influenced by?

Just to mention a few of the great bands....Panthera, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Disturbed, Black Label Society, Candlemass and a lot of more.

 

What are your alltime favourite records?

METALWAR

 

The title of your debut record is called "Metal War", which really kicks

ass and is a very cool Metal album. What do you want to tell the audience

with this title?

Thanks a lot. We love our album too. There IS a war out there. Just think about all bands that fight for their existence. To survive as a metal band is itself a war.

Typical male Metal bands have groupies usually. Do you have male ones, too?

The men we talk to just want to marry us and havechildren - a little cottage in the country.....But we have to let them down though we are not ready yet. We have a mission to fullfill!

 

What were the craziest situations with them and of course for the band

itself (stage situations, on the road etc.)?

We have a fan in Holland that has make a tattoo of our logo over his sensitive part. He came to Sweden Rock Festival to see us. Then we saw it ourselves.

That is mega great.

 

Peter Tätgren from Hypocrisy and Pain did produce your record. How

did you get in contact with him?

It was our wish that Peter could mix the album. He said yes immediately when he had heard some demo tracks. 

 

How is your working process? Do you have a main songwriter or do

you work it out in the rehearsal room?

We all work together with the songs. Someone starts the process with a guitar riff, a lyric line or just a cool title. We work in our rehearsal room that is really great.

140 square meters with a large stage. We also have a studio there now so we will spend more time to our next album. METALWAR was recorded in two weeks.

 

In August and October you are going to play some shows in Sweden and in

the Netherlands. Are there planed any gigs in Germany or around the globe

this year, too?

Yes, we are doing a tour in Germany, Belgium and Netherlands in October. We also have a gig in Wales on Hardrock Hell III festival in December.

 

How do you spend your freetime, when you are not on stage or working on new material?

In the freetime we are planning the future of Hysterica of course.

 

We have a cooking corner inside the radioshow/magazine, where musicians present their beloved recipes. Do you have one for us? Please tell us, how to cook it (including ingredients)...

We  can´t cook. But we have really good taste so why don´t you invite us over and

we  can be your recipes judges. haha
